Greene County High School runners participated in the 4 x 100 meter relays in Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Both teams improved their times and rankings but neither made the finals. The girls qualified with the 58th fastest time of 51.60 seconds and the boys had the 85th fastest time of 44.65 seconds.
Drake Relays accepts 96 quartets in the 4 x 100. Four seniors qualified for the Greene County girls. Running were Olivia Shannon, Kamryn Sanders, Natalie Heupel, and Katrina Heupel. They stopped the clock at 51.44 seconds which was 39th. Des Moines Hoover won the event in 48.84 seconds.
The boys ran with junior Trey Schilling, sophomore Camden Strennen, and seniors Richard Daugherty and Jesse Miller. They were timed in 45.35 seconds which was 78th. Cedar Rapids Washington won the event in 41.88 seconds.
